Email Confidentiality Statement

(Update) In light of the GDPR rules that will be effective in May 2018, I have re-read my statement.  My dedication to your privacy remains the same. I don't share. And now, it seems like a positive virtue, not a negative one.

Let’s face it, if you want me to send an ebook to your email, I need your email address. Pretty simple. The only email addresses that are kept are the ones where I state that I am collecting them. At this time, I am collecting email address on the second book in each series (it’s early days now, but I have more series in mind) and for the Priestess Sacrifice download. All emails are kept confidential and are not shared. I use email to reach out to people who have indicated an interest in my work.

No, I am not collecting emails for the first book. It is free on many sites. I cannot get your address from them, so I see no need to gather the address from you when you just want to dip your toe in my world right now. But, if you want the second book free, or Priestess Sacrifice free, yep, I am collecting your email address. It is a fair trade.

Regarding emails — I, too, hate it when a company abuses the privilege of having my email. One site emailed me eight times in a week to share “we are having an important event,… time is running out to sign up for our important event,… you haven’t signed up for our important event,…” Well, you get the picture. Even with automated email sequences, that is a lot of wasted time on my part.

One last time – when you request free material, I have to know where to send it. If I state I am collecting your email, then those collected emails will be used to reach out to interested readers to share news and information about my website and about upcoming books and events they might find interesting.

Facebook

I also post updates to my Facebook page and may reach out to interested readers on Facebook via Facebook Messenger. No more than one email a week, usually only one a month; ditto, Facebook Messenger. You can always find current information on my website and on my Facebook page.

PRIVACY POLICY

I don’t share your email address, period.

I thank you for your support.
